Slovenia Travel Essentials
Visa Requirements
Slovenia is part of the Schengen area. Citizens of many countries, including the USA, do not need to apply for a visa in advance of arrival.
Power Plugs
Slovenia uses type C and type F power outlets. I recommend traveling with a universal power adapter.
Getting Around
Buses are inexpensive, though if you plan to venture outside of the most popular tourist destinations, you’ll likely want a car.
Lodging
Slovenia has some good hostels, if that’s a match for your price point and travel style, but otherwise hotels are your best bet.
